The Multifaith Centre is gathering a small collection of materials for short-term loan and pamphlets for student, staff, and faculty use. Resources currently include books, video and audio learning tapes, as well as a range of pamphlets. There are resources other than those listed below, so speak with the chaplains about your personal, learning, or research interests. Visit the Office on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays from 9 am through 2 pm to arrange the loans of the video and audio materials.

Buddhism. Awakening Compassion by Pema Chodron
  Tibetan Buddhists use the practice of lojong or "mind training" to transform difficulties into insights. In this program Pema Chodron, the Buddhist nun, who resides at Gampo Abbey in Cape Breton, shows how to use painful emotions as steps to wisdom, compassion, and fearlessness. Christian. The Contemplative Journey I and II by Father Thomas Keating
  Based on the Fourteenth-Century spiritual classic, The Cloud of Unknowing, Father Keating presents this authentic tradition of Christian contemplation. He teaches every facet of Centering Prayer, a uniquely Christian meditation technique that is similar to Eastern mystical practices. Spirituality. Emotional Genius by Karla McLaren

Latter-Day Saints. The Lamb of God

  The Office has a wide selection of CareNotes, a series of pamphets that focus on personal and spiritual issues. Topics include the prayer life, grief, academic stress, anger management, relationships, coping with addictions, family dilemmas, illness, etc.
 
Men for Change Pamphlets
  The Office provides the pamphlets from Men for Change, a group which formed in Halifax after the Montreal Massacre. Current titles include the following: How to Deal with Anger, Depression, How Can We Grow Closer?, Positive Fathering, Separation, and Pornography.
